Gloucester city centre has lit up with life on Thursday evening.
The city's second night market was in full in swing from 5pm-8pm while just a few yards away the Tree of Light was brought to life by Olympic gold medal star Charlotte Dujardin.
The market was bustling, despite cold, wet weather, with stallholders reporting healthy sales and plenty of interest. It's Gloucester's second night market after the success of July's inaugural effort and it looks set to become a regular fixture.
In Eastgate Street, crowds gathered for the 6pm switching on of the Tree of Light, with Rotary Club members out in force to gather vital cash for local charities as part of the fun.
Newent-based Miss Dujardin, a double equestrian gold medallist at London 2012, said it was an "honour" to flick the switch on the spectacular tree.
Singer Mary-Jess Leaverland entertained the masses, with plenty more live music on offer too.
