Temperatures have dropped since 5.30am, freezing overnight rain in parts of the county, causing possible black ice.
Police said road surfaces in the south of the county, around Cirencester, Stroud, Nailsworth, Dursley and Wotton-under-Edge, have become slippery this morning.
The warning comes after a crash on the A419 near Sapperton this morning left a driver with minor injuries.
The man crashed his Rover 45 into a wall in Chapman's Cross after losing control on the icy roads.
He suffered from shock and minor injuries and was not taken to hospital.
