At Ruskin Mill there will be storytelling with Fiona Eadie and Valerie Dean, on Friday at 7.30pm. Held in Place starts and ends with a local folktale and in between travels ancient routes through England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland telling tales along the way for ages 12 upwards . Christ Church, Nailsworth will hold a Diamond Jubilee Stamp Celebration on Saturdaywhich was postponed. Howard Price, along with Paul Driscoll, will conduct the event in the Sawyer Hall from 10am to 4pm. The aim is to cover the years 1952 - 2012. It will record every royal event, every issue of stamps with a royal connection, as well as a wide selection of postal, historical and technological events during the last 60 years.
There will also be the special Olympic gold medal winners' stamps on display.
Services for Sunday will include 10.30am Family Worship with Holy Communion at Christ Church, followed by Evening Worship at 6pm.
Nailsworth WI will meet on Monday, October 8, in St. George's Parish Room for 'Kiss chase and conkers' by Caroline Sanderson. Details from Rosemary, 01453 833966.
