TISSUES were at the ready as little ones said goodbye to their friends at a mini graduation ceremony yesterday.
Parents were invited to the ceremony where toddlers celebrated their achievements at the Abbeydale Playgroup before they head off to school in September.
Playgroup leader Helen Brown said: "It was such an emotional day, many of them did not want to leave.
"They all looked so cute in their little gowns and hats and at the end they threw their hats up in the air.
"It is a real tear jerker day. It was very sad to see them go, as they have been coming here for a few years.
"We are looking forward to welcoming the new set of children from September."
The fun doesn't stop there, as they will all gather to raise funds for a new shed at a fundraising event today. During the event they will enjoy stalls, raffles, tombolas and ice cream. It will take place in the fields behind the Abbeydale Community Centre.
