TELEVISION presenter Carol Vorderman will kick off this year's Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford.
The Countdown mathematician will officially open this year's Air Tattoo this morning.
Today's event is sold out, but there are tickets still available for tomorrow, as thousands descend on Fairford for the aircraft extravaganza.
Carol, 52, has announced ambitious plans for a solo flight around the world, following the flight path of her heroine, aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart.
She said: "We try to get to lots of the airshows, and I've been coming to RIAT for the past five or six years.
"The Air Tattoo is the big one, it's very special because of all the military aircraft that come every year."
Carol has been building up her hours with a flying school in Gloucestershire.
The Royal International Air Tattoo is staged in support of the RAF Charitable Trust.
