Sun-worshippers in Gloucestershire are getting their kit off as they bask in balmy weather. Temperatures of more than 27C have led to more people stripping bare and following the naturist movement in the county. The Pines Outdoor Club, based at Longhope, is the county's premier club for people who love to get naked. The surge in naturists in the county defies the results of a new survey which revealed that one in five Britons are happy to strip off at a nude beach during a holiday abroad while just one in 20 would go to a nudist beach in Britain. Men are more keen to bare it all than women, with one in three men happy to use a naturist beach abroad and 10 per cent delighted to get naked in Britain. Women are reserved, according to the survey by travel website On the Beach, with just 12 per cent happy to strip off on foreign shores and only two per cent saying they would get naked in Blighty. Naturist experts have some advice for anyone thinking to join the naked crowd: bring a towel just in case. Andrew Welch, from British Naturism, said: "The problem is not the nudity, but the unexpected nature of it. "Naturists are sensitive to the feelings of other people, so they should be ready to cover themselves up by carrying a towel. "Most naturists will have something to cover themselves with, that's how we are as people. But it's wrong to make the assumption that everyone should be shocked by naturism."
