TEDDIES took the plunge from the top of St Mary's Church tower as part of Rodborough's Midsummer Merriment weekend.
The event was raising funds for Rodborough's The Old Endowed School.
Bears made the parachute leap from the parapet of the tower and strong winds meant a pair of bears landed on the church roof.
They were due to be rescued on Monday. Others got stuck in a tree.
The afternoon also saw an Angel and Faerie Hunt around the churchyard and Rectory Gardens.
"The angel hunt was also popular," said event organiser Louise Ratcliffe.
The weekend of events included a successful Murder Mystery evening on Friday with actor Mike Beard leading a team of thespians to present a whodunnit to around 50 would-be detectives.
The weekend of events raised funds for ongoing improvements to the Old Endowed School building.
