IT might not be the best-known of Cheltenham's many festivals, but the Ukulele Festival of Great Britain is growing in popularity each year.
Hundreds of fans of the four-string instrument descended on the town for the fourth annual event.
They gathered in the Town Hall and the Exmouth Arms for events at the weekend, while 450 people held a mass busking session in the Promenade yesterday.
Ally Jarvis, one of the organisers, said: "It was absolutely brilliant and definitely surpassed previous festivals."
She added that players created a good atmosphere by jamming together.
