LOOSE Woman and TV actress Lisa Maxwell is to open the 75th anniversary celebrations at the Resthaven nursing home.
The star, who played DI Samantha Nixon in The Bill for eight years and is now a regular on ITV's Loose Women daytime chat show, will join trustees at the Pitchcombe home for the private Music on the Terrace concert on June 2.
A 40-piece ensemble will provide invited guests with pop and classical music during the afternoon when Resthaven's foundation as a home for healing and rehabilitation will be remembered. Now a not-for-profit home, it originally offered homeopathy and natural alternatives to traditional medicine, grew its own organic veg and ran a small dairy herd of Jersey cows.
