A man has been assaulted in an attempted robbery in Stroud.
The incident happened between 7.20pm and 7.40pm on Friday April 12 on the car park of a shop on Westward Road.
The victim, a 50 year old man from Stroud was walking along the road when he was approached by three men.
The first man grabbed the offender by his rucksack and pulled him into the car park. The second man then struck the victim in the face with a brick or stone. The offenders then demanded the victim's phone, money and rucksack, but the victim managed to fend off the offenders and they ran off along an alleyway empty handed.
The men are described as white, around 20-25 years old and wearing dark clothing.
