Artist Brian Shepherd has helped raise £50 for charity by selling his latest painting.
The 68-year-old from Hester's Way, sold his picture of a child and a dog peering over a fence and secured the cash for Cancer Research UK.
He wanted to raise the funds for the charity as his sister, Joan Cervanties, from Tewkesbury, was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.
She is recovering well, but Brian wanted to give something back and decided his art was a good way to help.
Brian, who has been painting since he was 11 years old privately sold the picture to Kevin Jones from Hatherley.
It was inspired by a photograph given to him by friends and he is set to hand over the cheque to the charity soon.
