Mounds of dog mess are to be jet blasted away after Quedgeley residents kicked up a stink.
The dog fouling has become a particular problem around Field Court Junior School and the alleyway at Guise Close.
The area is being cleaned and warning signs put up on lamp posts.
Gloucestershire county councillor Jackie Hall (C, Quedgeley) said: "Whilst the majority of people are responsible dog owners and clean up after their pets, it is obvious that some do not.
"The health risks especially to children are well known.
"There's no excuse."
Free dog bags are available from the Quedgeley Parish Council offices in School Lane.
