Weekend roadshow flies into Gloucestershire's airport

A holiday, travel and leisure weekend will by flying into Gloucestershire Airport this Saturday and Sunday.
Visitors to the airport at Staverton will learn about the passengers flights that can be taken from there – including flights to the Isle of Man, Belfast and Jersey.
With over 40 companies on site, employing almost 600 staff, the county's airport is home to around 170 aircraft, ranging from single seat microlights to state-of-the-art executive jets.
It handles a staggering 74,000 flights per year.
Kim Davenport, business development manager, said: - "Our passenger flights have been so successful because we offer first class service, a world away from the hassle of flying from bigger airports.
"With no queues and, most importantly, a smile, this really is flying like it used to be.
"Our operators will have a range of aircraft on display and will be on hand to tell you all about the services they offer.
"Whether it's a once in a lifetime gift for that special birthday of anniversary, or a new challenge for 2012, trial lessons and learning to fly are more affordable than people think."
For the more adventurous, the airport will be demonstrating how it offers hot air ballooning, helicopter sightseeing, pleasure and vintage flights as well as aerobatics and even wing-walking.
The event will take place at the airport's terminal building from 11am to 4pm on both days this weekend.
