ELDERLY residents in Coney Hill have been tucking into some tasty food thanks to generous pupils.
Coney Hill Community Primary School enjoyed its harvest festival on Friday at St Oswald's Church.
The whole school attended, along with parents, who had been collecting food items to go in hampers which were dished out to pensioners in the community.
Margaret Bainbridge, acting headteacher, said: "We asked the pupils to nominate elderly people who were deserving of a hamper, then we delivered them on Friday.
"It was a fantastic event and everyone really enjoyed it."
