NEIGHBOURS Jenny Bailey and Judith Anderson have raised their cuppas to help breast cancer sufferers.

Judith, 59 and Jenny, 61, who live opposite one another in Naunton Crescent, Cheltenham, raised more than £1,000 through joint coffee mornings.

The money will go to Cobalt, the cancer charity specialising in scanning and imaging equipment, as well as treatment services for those affected by the disease. As well as hot drinks, they filled up friends and family with scones, sponges and slices, and offered raffle, tombola, and second-hand goods such as books and bric-a-brac.

Judith, who is retired, said Saturday's coffee morning had been "busy, but very enjoyable".

Mary Peterson, community fundraiser at Cobalt, said: "We are incredibly grateful for all the hard work they do on behalf of the charity."
