DRIVERS faced hold-ups during rush hour on Friday night after two serious accidents in the county.
A head-on collision on the A38 between Coombe Hill and Longford diverted motorists on to the M5 between Gloucester and Tewkesbury as emergency services dealt with the incident at around 5.30pm.
A rapid response unit was first on the scene, with three ambulances later attending.
One male driver and two children were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
A second collision on the A4173 at Edge, Near Stroud just before 5pm involved two vehicles.
A male driver of one of the vehicles was treated at the scene for minor head injuries, with a rapid response unit and paramedic first on the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle escaped uninjured.
The road was closed by police for around half an hour causing traffic delays.
