Couples across Gloucestershire will be tying the knot on 12.12.12.
The county council's registration service will be performing eight marriage ceremonies and two civil partnerships on the day.
John Gray, 39, and Louise Longhurst, 28, will be getting married at Kingscote Barn near Tetbury.
John is a paramedic and originally from Hertfordshire, Louise is a nurse and originally from Somerset. The couple live in Chippenham.
They chose the date because it sounded memorable.
John said: "I believe memorable dates are lucky for us."
They have been together for four years and met through Louise's sister. They got to know got to know each other better because they both work in the NHS. John and Louise got engaged just over a year ago while on holiday in Prague.
John said: "I'd been planning it for a long time, but she had no idea what I was going to do. When I got down on one knee she thought I had a bad back!"
Ruth Pingriff, superintendent registrar for Gloucestershire, said: "It is always a pleasure to be involved in a couple's special day. We are delighted that John and Louise are getting married in Gloucestershire and it is our privilege to be officiating at their legal marriage ceremony.
"The couples' marriage record and certificate will forever reflect this memorable date – 12.12.12. John will have no excuse for forgetting an anniversary now."
The wedding will have a Christmas theme, with Christmas trees as table centre pieces.
Following their wedding, John and Louise will be having a fairly unconventional honeymoon.
John said: "NHS workers don't get much time off in December, so we're going away in January and we're going to climb Kilimanjaro. We both like walking and keeping fit, so we thought why not climb the highest free-standing mountain in the world? It hasn't been easy to train because there's nothing like it in Britain. The problem is the altitude. It doesn't matter how fit you are, you don't know how it's going to affect you."
Councillor Will Windsor-Clive, cabinet member for communities, said: "This is such a memorable date, so it's not surprising so many couples in the county have chosen it for their special day. I am really pleased that Gloucestershire County Council can play a part in creating the perfect day for John and Louise.
"I would like to encourage anyone who is thinking of getting hitched to find out what we can do for them."
Twelve 12 12 is the last of the memorable dates, including 9.9.9, 10.10.10 and 11.11.11, this century. All of these dates have proved popular for weddings, with 9.9.9 a particular hit for members of the emergency services.
