A BURGLAR rounded up by police on Saturday after being on the run has been put behind bars.
Nathan Hibberd, of Winnycroft Lane, in Matson was the centre of a widespread manhunt after being wanted for questioning over two city burglaries.
On Friday police put out a widespread appeal to locate him while Crimestoppers stumped up a £1,000 reward.
Hibberd was wanted in connection with burglaries in Henry Road, Kingsholm, and Coronation Grove, Wotton, on Tuesday last week.
Neighbours reported to police that they saw a 6ft white man crouching in the garden.
He was spotted in Fox Elms Road and arrested by police on Saturday morning. By that time he had climbed onto the roof.
At Cheltenham Magistrates Court, Hibberd, 38, pleaded guilty to two counts of dwelling burglary and has been remanded in custody.
He will appear at Gloucester Crown Court on Thursday, August 1.
