THE very best fruit, vegetables, photographs, flower arrangements and crafts will be among some of the items being judged at today's Quedgeley Show.
The event is running at Severn Vale School, on School Lane, from 2pm.
A show has been held in Quedgeley since 1972 and the event has become a long-standing tradition of the area.
There will be more than 50 categories that are being entered into with prizes for each.
The event is being run by Quedgeley Community Trust, and has been sponsored by snooker academy Capital Venues, which is based at Waterwells Business Park.
Andy Jarrett, from the Quedgeley Community Trust, said: "It always brings a lot of people together to celebrate what they do.
"In a place like Quedgeley, it is really important that we keep that village spirit going with events like this.
"It also gives local groups a good chance to showcase the work they do."
There will be special categories for young people and youth groups, with prizes worth £250 up for grabs for them.
