I HAVE been cycling for as long as I can remember.
One of my earliest memories was riding around Grisedale Forest when I was six with my dad. He said I did really well on the steep hills.
At eight, I started competing in triathlons and got my first road bike, a Giant in T-Mobile colours.
As I got older I have started riding with Cheltenham County and as my confidence increased I was encouraged to compete in local events at Cheltenham race course.
The first race was really hard and I remember not being able to stand up or recognise my dad when he was standing in front of me. Despite being tired I loved every minute of it.
In August 2012, I entered a race in Cornwall and met Fiona Telfer-Brunton, a cycling coach.
Fiona encouraged me to attend a meeting at the One and All Cycling Academy for me to have some tests to see the power I could generate.
I was given a training programme and worked hard over the winter and started competing in the winter track league at Newport Velodrome.
Since March I have competed in events all over the country including the Isle of Man.
I've had some good results so far including winning six out of eight races at Castle Coombe and making the national finals of the GHS Time Trial Championship.
I am also looking forward to competing in the final selection race for the southern region and hope to be selected for the School Games Squad.
