Witness plea following fire at mosque

POLICE have renewed appeals for information after a Cheltenham man was charged with conspiracy to commit arson at a Gloucester mosque.

The fire service was called to reports of a small fire at Masjid-E-Noor mosque in Ryecroft Street, Gloucester at 12.50am on Tuesday.

Officers want witnesses who saw two men in a black Peugeot 406 in the city between midnight and 12.45am to come forward.

Clive Michael Ceronne, 37, from Gloucester, and Ashley Henry Juggins, 20, from Cheltenham, appeared in court on Thursday.

Police are also keen to trace the men who helped extinguish the fire.
