After a baking hot day in Gloucestershire yesterday, thunder and rain arrived today with forecasts of more miserable weather ahead.
The Met Office says today will be rather cloudy with scattered showers some of which may be persistent and heavy. There is also a possibility of thunder and temperatures are expected to peak at around 19 degrees.
Tonight it will remain rather cloudy with further showery outbreaks of rain and some drier spells in between. Some areas may stay dry throughout.
The minimum temperature overnight is expected to be around 10 degrees.
On Friday showers will gradually fade during the morning with brighter, drier weather, and a fresher westerly breeze developing later in the day. The maximum temperature is expected to hit 18 degrees with more rain expected overnight.
The Met Office is not offering any respite from the dreary weather this weekend with a grim outlook for Monday to Saturday.
It will feel cool with strong to gale force winds and rain or showers, perhaps heavy and persistent at times.
