DODGY bikes travelling around the city have been repaired thanks to a trusty team of mechanics.
This week is National Bike Week and a team from Gloucestershire Bike Project were out in force in King's Square yesterday giving free repairs and tips. Co-ordinator Maureen Parker said: "We want people to be safer on the roads so we've been offering advice and taking a look at their bikes for them."
Don Muir, cycling co-ordinator for the Road Safety Partnership, said: "People are safer on the roads when they become more confident."
Gloucestershire Bike Project is a not-for-profit social enterprise, which restores old bikes and gives them a new lease of life.
