Gloucestershire is basking in one of the hottest days of the year so far with temperatures topping 23 degrees.
However the Met Office is forecasting the sun shower will be short lived with a mixed bag of weather ahead for the next few days.
Tonight it will be largely clear at first but clouds and showery outbreaks of rain are expected overnight with temperatures dipping to 12 degrees.
Tomorrow will be a rather cloudy day across the region according to the Met Office with further outbreaks of rain, some of which may be heavy and prolonged at times, particularly in the afternoon.
It will be feeling cooler than today with maximum temperatures reaching 19 degrees.
The outlook for Friday to Sunday sees the weather remaining generally unsettled through into the weekend, with rain or showers, perhaps heavy and prolonged at times.
Strengthening winds will also build and feel cooler and fresher than recent days.
Here is the Met Office national outlook for next week:
An east-west split is likely to develop early next week with eastern and northeastern areas rather cool and cloudy with showery outbreaks of rain, locally heavy in places.
Further west should be rather drier although still a good deal of cloud here, with best of the sunshine in sheltered spots, allowing temperatures to recover to near normal.
From Thursday onwards, unsettled conditions are likely to spread in from the west.
Bands of rain are likely to affect many areas, with western and northwestern parts likely to see the heaviest and most persistent rain.
However some eastern and southeastern areas may occasionally be sheltered from the rain allowing some drier and brighter spells to develop.
Temperatures still rather cool in the north, but probably nearer to average elsewhere.Latest Gloucestershire weather forecast
