INSPIRED by the dance music of central France, Woodwose will play Horsley this weekend on June 15.
French Dance Stroud will hit the hall on Saturday at 4.15pm before a bring and share food social hour gives way to a pre-ball dance workshop at 7.15pm.
Finally the dance itself will begin at 7.45pm with sounds too from the English bagpipe and hurdy gurdy revival, and from 14th-century French and Italian polyphony.
Woodwose are Katy Marchant, Steve Tyler, Sonny Davidson and Jo Hamilton.
"They will be playing many tunes composed by the band, along with a few danceable tunes from earlier times," their spokesman said.
