MORE than 40 young people have been introduced to volunteering opportunity thanks to a county partnership.
The Catch 25 project was set up by Guinness Hermitage, Oxbode Housing and the Furniture Recycling Project.
The project, targeted at 16 to 24 year olds who are not in education, employment or training, offers work experience and volunteering placements to help youngsters gain skills for work, references, time management skills and confidence.
In the 10 months since the project started, Catch 25 has been involved with many young people across the county. In total 42 youngsters are benefiting from help to find volunteering placements, and as result three have successfully gone on to find work and another has returned to education.
