BENCHES and a tree are now permanent reminders of beloved member of the Randwick community and Guide leader Jackie Wyndow.
The two seats and a rowan sapling were dedicated to the memory of Mrs Wyndow during a ceremony on the playing field outside the Village Hall.
Church bellringer Mrs Wyndow was involved with Guiding in Randwick for 30 years.
"She was known by many for her selfless commitment to many aspects of village life," said Nick Kent, editor of the Randwick Runner.
Mrs Wyndow, who left a husband and sons, lived in Farmhill Crescent, Paganhill. Her car crashed in Edge in May 2011 when she died from natural causes while driving home from work at Wynstone's School in Brookthorpe. She was 53. The sale of the former Randwick Guide Hut paid for the memorials.
