Free expert advice on dance, costume making, use of materials and the practicalities of taking part are all on offer at a 'drop in' session for groups wanting to join in this year's Gloucester carnival.
Aimed at those interested in the 'green' aspects of the carnival, the session takes place on Tuesday 4th June, at 6.00pm at City Works, Alfred Street.
A range of experts will be on hand to give advice on everything from making 'magical creations' to the use of materials.
And all those who attend will get the opportunity to look around the 'scrap store' and take away a 'trolley load' of materials to help them get started.
There will also be the opportunity for interested groups to sign up for further 'specialist' workshops run by the professionals. Please register your interest at events@gloucester.gov.uk or by phoning 01452 396382 .
Council Leader, Paul James, commented: " This session is designed to help inspire people with the impact they can have and the different ways of becoming involved. We have specialists in everything from dance to creative costume making.
"This is a real opportunity to hear and learn from experts and get the creative juices flowing. People who come along will also be able to 'trawl' through the stock of materials in the 'scrap store' and take away a selection to help get them started. I hope that lots of people turn up and take this opportunity."
