CHELTENHAM grandmother Lindsay Sandiford has been denied Government funding for her appeal.
Appeal Court judges yesterday said they had "great sympathy" for 56-year-old Sandiford, who was given a death penalty by a court in Bali in January after being found guilty of taking cocaine on to the Indonesian island.
She has run out of money and cannot afford a lawyer, so appealed for Government help to fund her £6,000 appeal.
It was rejected in January and Sandiford launched an appeal, but the judges Master of the Rolls Lord Dyson, Lord Justice Elias and Lord Justice Patten rejected it.
