UNEMPLOYMENT has fallen again in Gloucestershire, bucking the national trend.
The number of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance in the county fell by 233 last month to 10,034. This compares to a 250 drop in March to 10,267.
The biggest fall in those claiming the benefit was seen in the Forest of Dean, with 63 less people.
UK unemployment meanwhile has risen to 2.52 million, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Figures show 15,000 more people were unemployed in the three months to the end of March, compared with the three months prior.
The unemployment rate now stands at 7.8 per cent.
