CAMERA shop Jessops is back in a flash as it prepares to reopen at King's Walk shopping centre.
The photography specialists shut up shop in January after falling into administration.
But Dragon's Den TV star Peter Jones came to their rescue and bought the brand.
He has embarked on a fast-paced reopening of the firm's branches, opening almost one a day since his £4 million takeover.
Gloucester will be the latest store to reopen when the shutters come up again within the next week.
An opening date has yet to be set but the stock has returned and workers are putting the finishing touches to fresh-looking displays.
Peter White, centre manager at the shopping centre, said: "We are really excited to see them back up and running again.
"It has been quite a turnaround because we only recently knew that they had been saved.
"We are really pleased to be working with them again.
"The staff are doing their shop fit and the store will be open again within the next week."
The majority of the shop's staff are former employees who have been drafted back in just weeks after losing their jobs.
And the Dragon's Den star himself is buoyant about the firm's future. He said: "I believe Jessops is an iconic British brand which can lead the retail resurgence on Britain's high streets."
The future is also looking bright for neighbouring store HMV which was also facing closure earlier in the year.
Mr White said: "A deal has been done with HMV and the landlord. The stock levels are increasing again now and they are getting new releases like Les Mis which is fantastic. Some of the deals they have now are great, I was in there just the other day myself."
A deal is also on the cards for the former Optical Express store, but the centre is remaining tight-lipped on which company will move in.
National shoe retailer Schuh is also opening within the next week in the centre.
The quirky footwear retailer has taken over the former Profile store, which has since relocated to Northgate Street.
The shop's arrival will bring 15 jobs to the city.
