WILL a film about TV comedian Harry Hill penned by a Cheltenham writer be any good? There's only one way to find out...
No, the answer is not to fiiiiight TV Burp style. The solution, of course, is to watch the film, but as shooting is only just about to start, the next best option is to ask the writer himself.
Jon Foster, 31, has just finished writing The Harry Hill Movie, which is based on the life of the 48-year-old known for his hit TV Burp show and stand-up act.
The story sees the big-collared comedian set off on a road trip to Blackpool after realising his hamster only has a week left to live.
Filming takes place across the UK over the next eight weeks.
Jon co-wrote the script with writing partner James Lamont and Harry himself.
He said: "We really enjoyed writing it. We met Harry before we started writing, and we got on really well, and so we thought we would give it a go.
"Harry is a really funny guy, and we enjoyed working with him.
"We are really excited that filming has started, and the director and the crew are great to work with.
"The film is going to be a fun, family comedy film, and I can't wait for it to come out."
Jon, who is a former pupil at Dean's Close School, has won two children's Baftas in as many years for his work on The Amazing World of Gumball.
He grew up in Charlton Kings and started writing for a student magazine when he was at Dean Close.
He got into comedy writing 10 years ago, performing with group H-Bam at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
His parents, Stephen and Gay Foster, said they were very proud of his work on the film.
Mrs Foster said: "Jon has worked very hard on it."
