CATTLE donned disguises and lurked in corners around Amberley as around 2,000 people set off on the fifth annual Cow Hunt.

Organisers had created 32 cut-out cows, complete with pun-laden names for the trail around the village.

Almost 900 maps were sold and 2,000 slices of cake served in glorious spring sunshine. Organised by Amberley Parochial Primary School, funds raised will be split between the Send a Cow charity and buying a defibrillator for the village.

"We've raised enough to send several cows to Africa," said school mum Katy Easey.
