Neighbours called out firefighters after a car was alight at St Peter's Close in Cheltenham this morning.
Firefighters from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service went to the road just before 4.30am after several residents of the close called the blaze in.
A spokesman for the service said: "One fire engine attended from Cheltenham East Fire Station with five firefighters.
"The crew were detained at the scene 30 minutes dealing with the car fire."
