MORE than 150 people of all ages enjoyed the community fun day at Daisy Bank in Stroud.
The Friends of Daisy Bank laid on face painting, nature workshops and circus skills displays to encourage families to take part in a consultation exercise, which was supported by Stroud Town Council.
Children were asked to put a sticker on pictures of play equipment they would most like to see installed at the park off Horns Road.
The plan is still at an early stage but a few favourites were identified during the fun day, including a tube slide and a basket swing. Once the votes have been counted, the play equipment will be chosen and fundraising will begin. It could cost up to £30,000.
Friends chairman Hayley Shortt said: "The turnout exceeded our expectations and it's fantastic. What has been nice is that people have joined in and supported this event with whatever they could do. It's been a real community celebration."
