AN open day in Barton showcased all the Trust Centre has to offer.

The centre, in Conduit Street, welcomed people along from 10am to 3pm on Saturday.

Residents had the chance to use the IT facilities and take part in activities in beauty, relaxation and therapy, sewing, recycled jewellery and cooking.

In addition, the new All Nations Nursery opened too.

Gloucester city councillor Usman Bhaimia (L, Barton and Tredworth) said: "It was a great day, the sun was shining and there were lots of people who went along. The Trust Centre offers a lot and there was plenty for people to see and do.

"The nursery is for the whole community irrespective of caste, creed, nationality and colour.

"There is a big demand for it and it is very welcome."
