PRINCE William will not have to pay back money he will owe for ending his time as an RAF pilot early, according to media reports.
He will owe the public purse £400,000 if he leaves his spell as a helicopter pilot early to fully take up his royal duties.
That, according to the People, is what he plans to do when his tour of duty at RAF Valley in Anglesey, North Wales, ends in September.
Search and rescue pilots like the prince have to agree to stay in service for six years if they are accepted for the £800,000 training course.
But, despite his planned early departure, RAF chiefs have decided to write off the bill in the interests of the nation.
