Jockey Timmy Murphy is facing a spell on the sidelines after breaking his right hand.
The 38-year-old fractured two bones in a fall on Scottish Grand National day at Ayr on Saturday, writes Jonathan Herbert.
He underwent immediate treatment at the track and received further attention in hospital.
Murphy returned to his home near Northleach on Saturday evening with Scottish Grand National-winning jockey Wayne Hutchinson, who lives in Swindon.
Murphy's agent Chris Broad said: "He'll be going to see a specialist to get it looked at and to give him an idea how long he's going to be out for."
Murphy, who was sidelined for six weeks after fracturing a vertebra at the end of November, has ridden 31 winners this season.
Meanwhile, Murphy's tenant at Cilldara Stud, trainer Fergal O'Brien has reported jockey Conor Shoemark and Bradley to have escaped injury when they fell in the Scottish Grand National.
Champion jockey AP McCoy will miss the Punchestown Festival this week after breaking ribs in a fall at Cheltenham on Thursday.
His best rides at Punchestown were set to include two-time Cheltenham Festival winner Alderwood and Jezki.
