A BLAZE in the chimney of a house saw firefighters called a Cotswold village.
The crew from Stow-on-the-Wold fire station were called to the house in Upper Oddington at around 5.30pm on Friday night.
The six firefighters were on scene for around 40 minutes putting out the blaze.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said due to the increased popularity of solid fuel heating, firefighters attended a significant number of chimney fires every year.
He said safety advice could be found at www.glosfire.gov.uk/ysafety_h_chimney.html.
