There was fun in the sun this morning as more than 50 people turned up to a vintage fair at Blackfriars Priory.

Following the success of last year's event, vintage specialist Hels Belles Boutique decided to host its second fair at the venue.

Families, couples and friends all enjoyed looking around the stalls.

Organiser Helen Griffiths said: "I decided to run this day because it ties in with one of my businesses - Hels Belles Vintage Crockery Hire.

"I am really pleased with how it went and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, which is the main thing."

Visitors also enjoyed live entertainment, including performances by the East Gate Swing Dance group.

The dance classes, which take place every Tuesday at 7pm, at the Guildhall are run by married couple, Sara and Gary Boon.

Sara said: "The sun was shining which made the day even better.

"When I was in talks with the organiser, it was raining and really miserable, but it has held off today.

"We took part today not only to promote our dance group, but to support this great vintage event."

Those who felt peckish were able to indulge in a barbecue, while enjoying the sun and entertainment.

There were many vintage stalls during the day, including Yianna, Miss B.haviour's Temptation Treats, Village Green Soaps and many more.

The family-run company, Village Green Soaps, makes soap using only, carefully sourced, sustainable vegetable oils, spring water and pure essential oils.

Owner Karen Lamb said: "These soaps are really good not only because they are natural and have no chemicals in, but they also keep hands moist."

Visitors bought raffle tickets in aid of the James Hopkins Trust.

Prizes included an overnight stay for two in the four-poster suite with full English breakfast and evening meal in the fine dining restaurant at the Grapevine Hotel in Stow-on-the-Wold, a luxury spa day for two at Whatley Manor and a round of golf for four at Brickhampton.

Pam Bryant, a volunteer from the charity, said: "We are trying to raise half a million pounds to build an extension to our Kite's Corner base."
