Two teenage boys accused of a horrific attack in a cellar have been remanded in custody.
The 16-year-old and 17-year-old, both from Gloucester, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court this morning, where details of the charges against them were read out.
It is alleged that another teenage boy was sexually assaulted with a length of wood, beaten and forced to perform a sex act, before concrete was poured in his eyes in Salisbury Road, Barton, Gloucester on November 7 last year.
Yesterday the 17-year-old was charged six offences and the 16-year-old with five offences, and no pleas have been entered at this stage.
The older boy faces three charges alleging a sexual attack, plus common assault, assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The 16-year-old is accused of rape, two more charges alleging a sexual attack, assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
There was no application for bail from the 16-year-old's legal representative, and the 17-year-old was not granted bail.
Both, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were remanded at a youth detention centre.
They will next appear before Gloucester Crown Court on April 19.
