AN unusually 'quiet' Easter has been enjoyed by police officers in Gloucester.
Friday and Saturday nights proved to be relatively uneventful, aside from the stabbing of a 20-year-old partygoer at Riverside Sports and Leisure Club on Friday night.
Patrols of the city centre have proved to be quiet affairs.
Inspector John Lynch- Warden, from Gloucestershire Police, said: "We thought it was going to be one of those weekends after that incident, but we have been surprised because it has been unusually quiet since.
"Up to now people have been quite well behaved but with the Bank Holiday there's an extra day of going out to be had for many people."
