A warning to dog owners who don't pick up their pet's mess has been issued in Hardwicke.
Bosses at Hardwicke Amateur Football Club say they are still finding dog mess left on their pitch at Hardwicke playing field.
They say that children as young as six are expected to play football on the field but they are worried about the health impact of the dog mess that is being left on the site.
In a stern message in a parish magazine they warned: "If dogs 'do what dogs do' please pick up after them. It's not just adults that play on this pitch, young Rangers teams from 6-11 years also play here so a polite message from Hardwicke AFC and Hardwicke Cricket Club: please pick up after your dog, use the three bins provided."
