Howling wind, rain and snow have greeted people waking up in Gloucestershire this morning.
Gusts of up to 50mph have caused chaos on the roads and snowfall has been reported in high-lying areas including parts of the Cotswolds.
Heavy rain is expected across most of the county throughout the day, turning to sleet and snow later on in some areas as temperatures hover just above the freezing mark.
The conditions have caused a lorry to fall on its side on the M5 and trees have blown down causing delays at the A4135 at Whiteway and a road near Haresfield.
