MARK Yates says he will fire up his players for tomorrow's trip to Barnet more than he has at any other time in his reign as Cheltenham Town manager.
He has demanded that they build on last Saturday's sparkling 3-0 home win over Rotherham United with another positive result at Underhill.
But he knows master escapologists Barnet will be fighting for their Football League lives.
There has been a buzz around the training ground since the Rotherham success, but Yates warned their attitude must be right.
"There has been a spring in everyone's step this week and they have trained really well," Yates said.
"The performance and result against Rotherham will have given us added confidence, but we certainly won't go and be blasé.
"We have to work exactly the same and that's the message I'll be getting across to the players.
"If we show the same aggression and workrate, we can do anything we want.
"I will be guarding against complacency and getting the players more up for it than I ever have done."
Yates was at Barnet on Tuesday night to see them dent Fleetwood Town's play-off hopes with a 2-0 home win.
"They pass the ball around well and the pitch isn't in bad nick," Yates said.
"They caused Fleetwood all sorts of problems and they'll have the ball at times and we'll have to defend in our shape properly, but they give you a chance to play too and we back ourselves to do that.
"As long as we can find the end product and cutting edge, we can go there and get the right result, but the attitude has to be spot on."
Yates is expected to stick with the same starting XI that performed so well against Rotherham, meaning Jason Taylor is likely to have to settle for a place on the bench having been left out of the match against his old club due to an arrangement between Yates and Millers boss Steve Evans.
Yates said he was delighted with the response of wide men Kaid Mohamed and Jermaine McGlashan, who both played integral roles in the win over Rotherham.
"We changed tack for a few games and went with different players, but you hope the boys will respond in a positive way and when they get their chance they'll think 'I'll show you' and the wingers did that against Rotherham," he said.
