It has been announced that Chris Packham has become an official Patron of the UK Wild Life Boar Trust (UKWBT).
The wildlife expert and TV presenter announced the news yesterday of his role and that he is officially backing the wild boar of the UK and of the trust.
He is best known for presenting children's nature show The Really Wild Show in the 80's and the BBC nature series Springwatch since 2009.
Chris said: "I am delighted to support the UK Wild Boar Trust and all the work they are doing; I fully believe wild boar have a huge part to play in the future Ecology of the UK.
"Wild boar are a very welcome, and important element of our wildlife; they should be cherished, not persecuted, I wish UKWBT lots of luck with their future projects."
