WHAT would you like to see in Gloucester at night?
City councillors are asking for ideas to help boost Gloucester's night time economy. And in particular they want to improve the night life for people between 30 to 50 years old.
Councillor Jan Lugg, who chairs the overview and scrutiny committee, said: "There is quite a lot going on around the city aimed at younger people. "In particular we have a thriving nightclub and bar sector which is very popular. But the city should be about involving all sections of the community and we want to hear from families and older people.
"We want their ideas about what would tempt them to come into Gloucester in the evening."
The committee has set up a 'task and finish group' made up of councillors Andrew Gravells, Chris Chatterton and Sebastian Field.
Shop assistant, Zoe Boyles, 49, from the Forest, is not impressed with the amenities for more mature people.
She said: "It would be nice to have a few more restaurants like in Cheltenham. I enjoy dancing so it would be great for the restaurant to have room for this as well."
