VOLUNTEERS are being called for to help organise this year's Alzheimer's Society's Memory Walk.

The Gloucester Memory Walk will take place on September 15 in the gardens of Highnam Court.

Last year the walk was launched by Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson, who died in December.

Volunteers can get involved in a variety of different ways from becoming a project team member to helping on the day by marshalling or manning a fundraising stall.

Kat Hartley, Memory Walk officer at Alzheimer's Society, said: "We are looking for enthusiastic people who are passionate about improving the lives of people living with dementia to join our Memory Walk Project Team in Gloucester. Over the last two years we've raised more than £30,000 to help fund our local services for people with dementia in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas."

To get involved call 0117 967 3011 or email volsavon gloswilts@alzheimers.org. uk.
