2000trees festival has unveiled its biggest ever line-up list and promised there are still very special headliners to be unveiled.

Stornoway, Funeral for a Friend, And So I Watch You From Afar, We Are The Ocean, InMe, Adebisi Shank and Stealing Sheep are among the 36 acts announced.

The line-up will also include Nine Black Alps, Fight Like Apes, Hilda May, Childhood, Beans on Toast, Cold Crows Dead, Brontide, Sky Larkin, Park Bench Society, Bovine, Wot Gorilla?, The Family Rain, Emperor Yes, Portasound, The Physics House Band, Her Name Is Calla, John J Presley, Bats, Hot Feet, Gnarwolves, The Retrospective Soundtrack Players, Empress, Black Moth, Crash of Rhino's, Landscapes, Wet Nuns, Grappler, Bear Cavalry and WOAHNOWS.

This massive list of bands joins the already announced Future of the Left, The Xcerts, Gallops, Max Raptor, Freeze the Atlantic and EMPIRE.

Organiser James Scarlett said: "This year could be the best line-up we've ever had. It has the usual mix of indie and folk plus every genre of rock you could imagine. Some old favourites who have played previously will return and more importantly there will be lots of fresh new blood – so 2000trees is definitely the place to discover your favourite new band!"

And it seems the bands themselves are equally excited. InMe frontman Dave McPherson said: "We're over the moon to join this year's 2000trees Festival! I personally have incredibly fond memories playing there both with InMe and solo. The Trees team is fun and friendly, yet also do a fantastic job and are passionate about doing things properly. I always love the wonderfully diverse line-ups, the local produce and the beautifully scenic site itself. We're only playing a few shows this year so for 2000trees to be one of them is a no brainer for us! Come party with us on and off stage!"

And So I Watch You From Afar's Chris Wee continued this theme: "We're honestly thrilled to be playing 2000trees for the third time. It has to be one of the best atmospheres we've encountered. We love coming back to play as we are always treated so well and the fans are incredible – they almost blew the roof off the tent in 2011 so hopefully it's the same this year!"

5,000 music fans will get the chance to discover the very best new and underground British bands on four stages, plus comedy, DJs, quality food and drink and much more, in a picturesque Cotswolds setting.

According to organiser Andy Rea tickets are selling like hotcakes: "Tickets for our Thursday Early Entry Evening are almost sold out and standard weekend tickets are flying too, it's all pretty exciting here right now. Plus we have booked some pretty special headliners for the main stage which we're keeping under our hats until later on, to give our hard core 2000trees fans the chance to buy tickets first."
Tickets for the three-day event are available from www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk
