Fire has ripped through a shed in Uley which contained two vehicles.
At 11.45pm yesterday the Fire Service Control Room received a call from the distraught owner of a property in Fop Street, Uley. She said her outbuilding was on fire.
An appliance from Dursley Station was mobilised with five firefighters. On arrival it was clear that further resources were required and a second crew from Wotton Under Edge Station was dispatched with four firefighters.
The outbuilding was well alight when crews arrived and contained two vehicles and a propane cylinder.
Firefighters used three main line jets, one ground monitor jet and one hosereel were used to extinguish the blaze which left the shed and its contents completely destroyed by the fire.
Crews remained at the scene for several hours dealing with the incident and cooling the propane cylinder. A thermal image camera was also used to ensure the building was no longer hazardous.
